Annual Giving
We’re getting ready to celebrate an
important anniversary! It has been 20 years since the Texas Retired
Teachers Association Board of Directors approved the formation of the
“Building Trust Fund”, which in 2000 became the Texas Retired Teachers
Foundation. We have come so far, thanks to supporters like you.
The Texas Retired Teachers Foundation will
begin two new programs during this next year. All awards will be announced
at the Texas Retired Teachers Foundation annual luncheon to be held on
conjunction with the Texas Retired Teachers Association Convention, April
15-17, 2008 in El Paso, Texas.
The Foundation will give scholarships for
the 2008-2009 school year to students, who are relatives of Texas retired
teachers or school personnel, pursuing education degrees at Texas
universities. And, the 2007-2008 Classroom Teacher Grant Guidelines are now
available to any public education teacher in the state of Texas.
Your support of the Foundation matters. It
has the power to change lives, to bring a world of possibilities to teachers
and students, and provides support to our retired teachers and school
personnel – to make change happen. Please show your appreciation and
support by sending your unrestricted annual gift today!
Make your annual gift now, and be a part of
building the Foundation for the Future. Return the enclosed response form
with your check or go online to
www.trtf.org and make your gift using our secure web site.
At this time, I hope you will join me in
making an unrestricted, tax-deductible, year-end gift to the Texas Retired
Teachers Foundation in support of public education in Texas and the
Foundation’s grants, scholarships and assistance to both current and retired
teachers and school personnel.
Together, we can build a Foundation for the
Future.
The names of our donors who make a
contribution to our annual campaign, and in honor of our 20th
Anniversary Year (2008), will be listed in a special commemorative book
which will be on display at our exhibit during convention and on our web
site. Please make sure your name appears there by making a generous gift
today, and thank you!
